We saw too many classrooms full of potential but lacking hands-on opportunities for students to create, build, and innovate. So, we built a solution.

Founder & CEO
As an entrepreneur and advocate for equity in STEM, Alberto founded Starmente after witnessing the urgent need for hands-on, creative learning tools in underserved communities. With experience in higher education and a background in business, he launched Starmente to inspire the next generation of makers, thinkers, and problem-solvers—starting with the students often left behind.

Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer
Alberto Luis Duarte III is the Co-Founder and COO of Starmente. A current student at Brownsville Early College High School (BECHS), Alberto brings a passion for 3D printing, hands-on learning, and creative problem-solving to everything he does. He oversees daily operations and helps shape the future of the company from the ground up. As both a student and a leader, he embodies Starmente’s mission—proof that when young minds are given tools, they build futures.
